Welcome to Pregnancy Centres Network!
Pregnancy Centres Network was set up in 2014 in response to a request from representatives of numerous independent pregnancy centres operating with a Christian ethos. Interest has grown, and we are currently in touch with more than 100 centres across the UK.
We exist to encourage pregnancy centres in their work of non-directive support for those facing unplanned pregnancy or struggling with pregnancy/child loss concerns, exercised with care and compassion based on Christian principles. The PCN vision is to foster a national provision of holistic, professional caring support offered within a confidential environment. We also support centres as they engage in preventative work educating young people in schools and other settings.
PCN recognises the strength of centres operating with autonomy, knowing and meeting the needs of their local community. Therefore, centres are not affiliated to PCN. As a non-campaigning organisation which is client-focussed, PCN will not normally comment on debates concerning abortion in the public arena.
Through the work of PCN, we aim to achieve the following:
- Co-ordinating information between local centres and regions
- Providing encouragement to centre leaders and their teams
- Building common resources for the benefit of local centres
- Encouraging best practice in the centres
Meet the team
All the activities of Pregnancy Centres Network are overseen by a team of trustees. The trustees have many years of experience working with centres or they bring expertise from their particular field. They all give their time to PCN on a voluntary basis.
PCN has recently appointed a part-time Director and a part-time Deputy Director to deliver the work of PCN on a day-to-day basis.
The annual conference is an important event in the PCN calendar. We value meeting together from all over the UK to share news, encouragement, teaching, and to be inspired all over again for the work that we do.
It is exciting to see how PCN is already providing valuable support and advice to local centres throughout the UK. However, there is so much more we would like to do.
To make this possible we need your support. Please click the link below to find out more about making a donation to PCN.
